Allegra Louise Shaw | Racist, Bigot, Hypocrite
I am currently editing up a video where I highlight and display a discussion I had with several people on my Facebook a few months back regarding the situation where Adam Saleh gets kicked off a plane.
(the whole 'discussion' can be found in this blog post here)
He claimed that his removal from the plane was because of race and him speaking Arabic yet all we see is a quick snippet of him discussing the situation as he's being removed. There is absolutely no evidence of what happened, yet many people rushed to conclusions and poured anger/hate filled emotions into their ideas on the subject.
The point of the video that I am creating is that many of the people who rushed to these conclusions are willing to label and judge me based upon my race and my gender. They disregard the information I provide because they ASSUME that I have 'privilege' and yet consider themselves not to be racist or bigoted in the process.
In this video I go into HEAVY detail on why I believe the female who decided to voice her opinion is a hypocrite, a bigot and a racist but along with that, I wanted to create this blog post to more or less ensure that these photos of her make it up AND stay on the internet.
As I mention in the video these 'claims' I make are in no ways meant to be disrespectful or rude but if she is going to make claims by blowing things out of context and labeling me then I will do the same.
If she is going to disregard information provided then she is a bigot, if she is going to label/prejudge me based off my race then she is a racist AND if she is going to openly contradict herself through her words/how she displays herself to the world upon her YouTube Channel then she is a hypocrite.
I have no problem labeling her as such as I proved in my video that I came upon this conclusion through logic and not emotions. I am ensuring that these labels I believe she fits into stays upon the internet for the World to see and so others may question her authenticity/legitimacy as a Human Being if they happen to stumble upon her hypocritical/bigoted/racist journey.
With the power of the internet we ALL have the ability to share our opinions/ideas with the world and just because we have a multitude of people who share and approve of these opinions we still need to be open to conflicting views.
What I attempt to display through my video is that Allegra Louise Shaw is not one of these people. After displaying factual points that contradicted hers she continued to disregard these points in an effort to take the situation out of context to prove her nonsensical views. She then tries to flip the script away from the situation and focused on me, trying to prove that I am something, this label of 'privilege' which she drew from me based off of my race and gender.
We are getting to an interesting point on the internet in terms of being able to document our lives, display that to the world and then have others be able to judge/analyze these points we choose to share. I see so much anger/hatred when people interact on my facebook and I see how this extrapolates out to the world.
I see how people are now using and treating individuals with the same type of standards as corporations/businesses and labeling them as Nazis, or Privileged in an effort to denounce their legitimacy and ruin any possibility of a career/employment. We are human, we are allowed to change our views and ideas in the world which is why I feel we shouldn't be so concrete.
When I discuss my views on the world/life I try to be as open and honest as possible. I state what I 'believe' is correct based off the information I've been provided and I've absorbed along my journey. I am more than willing to adjust my views based upon new findings and information coming out but people want to give HARSH 'penalties' and judge people for expressing their views and ideas purely when these things can change, we can change, we are human. Words should be used to convey intent and should be kept within context and understanding that our views behind how we convey those words can/will change as we grow.
Because I affected these peoples emotions through my words, they were willing to contradict themselves, they were willing to justify their views even though proven incorrect. I believe this type of mentality and the emotional connection to it spreads anger, fear & hate around the world. I believe these people should be held up to the same standards of 'labeling' as they bring upon others. If they are going to label, then all we can do is label them back.
In the future, if I believe I can prove that someone is so emotionally connected to an idea that they fail to challenge the points brought forward then I will simply refuse to further participate in the 'interaction' because that's all it is. Two beings interacting with each other, one of which has an emotionally based bias that won't be altered through logic or discussion, so there is no point engaging.
I will point them/my audience to this set of blog posts/videos to hopefully explain in detail why I choose not to engage and waste my time with someone who has an emotional connection to their beliefs.
I made this video to make a point. I made this video to display how I believe we need to handle 'interactions' with these types of mentalities. There is no point engaging because they see the continued engagement as a defense mechanism, they see it as if they are winning but they fail to actually participate. It's almost as if we need a referee involved to ensure people stay within context and stick to the discussion points at hand.
If she does happen to stumble upon this video, I am expecting an emotional response. I'm expecting a 'let's rally up and try to denounce this man' because I happen to speak against her and what she stands for in this world. I use strong words but I discuss how I was drawn to this conclusion and none of these 3 words I label her by have anything to do with her race or gender. She can change these aspects about herself, but until then, they shall stay.
