“There is no other alternative left to mankind”
“Use livestock bunched and moving as a proxy for former herds and predators and mimic nature.”
This is from Allan Savory’s 2013 TED Talk ‘How To Green The World’s Deserts & Reverse Climate Change’
I had to speed and cut this video up but if you want to see the FULL VIDEO and inform yourself on how large herds of grazing animals through holistic management can fix the MASS DESERTIFICATION our planet is suffering from and REVERSE CLIMATE CHANGE by pulling CO2 from the air back into the soil then I suggest checking out the link in my bio!
Of course you can find left-leaning sensationalized articles/websites trying to refute his work but the results he shows here is undeniable and this is the best method I’ve seen to coexist with animals on this planet no matter what ‘diet’ you align with.
I believe IT IS OUR GENERATIONS RESPONSIBILITY to challenge the current systems of agriculture and factory farming that is destroying our planet through desertification by introducing a new way for us to interact with the world as STEWARDS OF THE LAND. No matter what ‘diet’ you may choose to moralistically align yourself with, we cannot deny that it still does harm to animals and the land which the coming generations will have to deal with.
It’s time to step off our thrones of ‘ethics’ towards what we put in our bodies due to propagated biases from previous generations who manipulated scientific research to justify their profit/greed and look at what actually works! If that means we need to increase livestock by 400% in many areas of the world through planned grazing and holistic management to repair the land then we need to learn how to mitigate these populations, teach these methods and how to co-exist with these large herds with the coming generations and remove profit/greed from the picture while we fix our issues of world hunger, desertification and climate change.
This won’t be easy! It means a DRASTIC change to our way of life and the current systems that are so easy to just sit-back and do nothing while we live better than kings & queens ever have and ‘debate’ what we ‘believe’ is right. In my opinion, if you moralistically side with a vegan or plant-based diet and are not growing ALL your own food and/or getting it LOCAL sources, you are still utilizing a system that benefits from the harm of animals and degradation of the land and I refuse to waste my time having a discussion on morals/ethics while you refuse to inform yourself on how your diet also does harm. I feel it is part of my Journey to help institute this in the world and will represent/display the sources of where I acquire my meat for the carnivore diet over the coming months!
