Red Meat Causes Cancer - NOT GOOD SCIENCE
Does red meat actually cause cancer?
In today's YouTube video I dive DEEP into the science behind the claim that Red Meat Causes Cancer and I show that the studies justifying this are EXTREMELY WEAK!
I break down the difference between Observational Research & Experimental Randomized Trials to show that although it's important to conduct this type of research, in general they are both weak to conclude ANY TYPE of health recommendations in regards to nutrition especially long term meat consumption.
As we can see from this video only about 5% of nutrition studies are large, good-quality randomised trials so any person, whether a scientist, doctor, 'health coach', or 'influencer' making a bold claim on what specific types of food you should eat or not eat in an effort to avoid cancer or certain long term health ailments should be heavily questioned as there is just not enough conclusive scientific evidence to back up their claims.
It's all theory based off WEAK science and as we funnel more-and-more funding into these types of studies in regards to nutrition we will continue to get WEAK EVIDENCE with WEAK RECOMMENDATIONS.
As stated in the most conclusive science on the subject in this video, "the magnitude of any causal effect of meat consumption on health outcomes will test the ingenuity and imagination of health science investigators," and until we change the fabric and standards of our scientific system we will continue to get these weak recommendations with little-no conclusive science to state otherwise.
